Masculine culture is damaging your business – here’s how and why you should change it

A huge steaming pile of bullshit from Business Matters, which bills itself as “UKs leading business magazine”. The piece is so utterly woeful that the writer isn’t named, presumably to stop her becoming an object of ridicule.

Paula Sherriff (L, Dewsbury) v Boris Johnson. How was that always going to go?

At the 2016 International Men’s Day debate in the chamber of the House of Commons, the second such event hosted by Philip Davies, I was with Natty and Raymond in the public gallery. One of the pleasures of the debate (video, 1:22:42) was to watch Paula Sherriff (L, Dewsbury), then a Shadow Minister for Wimmin & Equalities, name our Feminist of the Month awards, thereby putting them in Hansard for the first time, and winning a Lying Feminist of the Month award for a claim she made in her diatribe (1:08:29 – 1:11:03).

Scrolling forward to 25.9.19, you’ll surely enjoy this piece (video, 2:47) on The Guardian website. After enduring Ms Sherriff’s tirade, delivered with rather unattractive frowning and nose flaring, Boris Johnson responded with this:

I have to say, Mr Speaker, I’ve never heard such humbug in all my life.

A good point, well made, we think.

Bettina Arndt update

Just received:

Hi Everybody,

First, a great new video for you. I had a long talk to Ilan Srulovicz, the brave CEO of the Egard Watch company, who took on Gillette. Ilan was inspired by the dreadful toxic masculinity message of the notorious Gillette ad to make his own hugely successful video promoting what’s good about men. It was a courageous move to put his company on the line like that but it paid off, attracting overwhelming support for his video. I was so pleased to discover this interesting young man is heavily involved in men’s issues and determined to keep making his voice heard.

Here’s the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LIg8XKRAbg

Help make sure the Family Law Inquiry exposes the real issues

Last week I reported on my recent trip to meet parliamentarians in Canberra – showing you the wonderful video of Senator Amada Stoker grilling the TEQSA bureaucrats about their dismal handling of campus rape adjudication.

The other issue which was top of my agenda on this trip was the upcoming Family Court Inquiry. I’ve been posting a bunch of news stories on my social media about the strenuous efforts of feminists to try to close down this inquiry. It just shows how desperate they are to hide the truth which hopefully will emerge, particularly during public hearings, about the rampant use of false violence and sexual abuse allegations and related perjury issues, as well as the failure of the Court to enforce contact orders – which are the issues that interest me the most.

I had very helpful meetings with many of the key players involved in the inquiry and have promised to do everything I can to try to make sure good people are making submissions and appearing before the committee.

Make submissions

Now’s time for all my volunteers to get on board.

The first job is to get everyone who has solid evidence about these issues to make a submission.

Here’s the link you need to use – https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Family_Law_System/FamilyLaw/Media_Releases. Please get moving. The closing date for submissions is December 18, 2019.

We are trying hard to ensure personal stories are given precedence over the legal groups and women’s organisations which dominated previous inquiries. But we also want sensible, persuasive experts willing to expose what is going on here.

Spread the word.

If you know people who have stories that should be heard, or professionals/experts who could provide solid evidence on these issues, please try to get them to make submissions.

We need some solid cases where false allegations were exposed in the Family Court or where the Court failed to enforce orders. If you are in that situation, please make a submission where you make it clear you have concrete evidence to show the allegations were false.

Do you need help making your submission?

We are going to try to assist anyone who finds the submission process difficult. My key researcher, Irene, is happy to help you put together the information you need for the form. Contact her here if you need assistance.

If we get swamped, we might need backup for Irene. If you are good at writing summaries of complex cases, please get in touch.

I’ll also be going through the hundreds of emails I have received from people reporting on family court battles, looking for suitable cases, and contacting those people to persuade them to get involved.

Appearing before the Committee.

If you feel you have good evidence and are willing to appear before the committee, you need to indicate this in your submission. It may be possible to do so in a private session, if you need to be anonymous.

The Committee will be travelling to all major cities and some rural/regional areas. I might be able to do a crowd-funder to provide support to key people who need to travel to attend committee meetings.

If you feel you are a suitable candidate to appearing before the committee, please send a copy of your submission to this address. We will be alerting key committee members who can ensure some of these people get a hearing.

Write to committee members

The parliamentary committee members are a mixed bag but hopefully the numbers are there to ensure a decent result. It would be great if you could write to the ones more likely to be sympathetic – particularly if you know them – making the case that the quiet Australians are applauding exposure of these important issues. Please also tell them to make sure that the legal organisations and women’s groups don’t crowd out important stories from ordinary people.

Join in my Q&A’s on thinkspot

Finally, just a reminder that I’d love more of you to join Jordan Peterson’s new platform, thinkspot. It’s still early days for the site, with a current waitlist of over 250,000 people ready to be given access to the site. Over the next two months all of those people will be invited to come on board.

Sign up using this link – https://ts.today?keyword=bettina . This will help give you some priority during roll-out. More people are gradually joining the small band of contributors and the whole thing is coming together well. What’s fun for me is the emphasis on proper conversations and I am already involved in chatting to many of my readers.

Next week we start the first of my Q&As and it would be great to have some of my old supporters there to ask interesting questions.

That’s it for now. Until next time, Tina

IRELAND: Unnamed ‘naive’ teacher, 23, waited until student’s 16th birthday to have sex with him, court told

Our thanks to Sean for this. The age of consent in Ireland is 17. An extract:

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that she was immature, had lived a sheltered life and was “naive sexually and as a teacher”.

Lauren O’Keefe, 25, healthcare worker, overpaid £21,524, will not pay back money. Suspended sentence.

Our thanks to Emma for this. The full piece:

A healthcare worker who kept quiet about being overpaid more than £21,000 will not have to repay the money.

But it has cost Lauren O’Keefe her job with a south Wales health board, Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court has heard.

The 25-year-old from Treharris in Merthyr received £21,524 extra in salaries from Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board over an 18-month period.

She admitted theft and was given a six-month suspended prison sentence and 180 hours of unpaid work.

The court was told that when the additional payments began, in April 2017, O’Keefe believed they were a tax rebate. [J4MB emphasis: Laughable.]

She continued receiving payments from the health board over the next year and a half, and spent every penny, said prosecutor Carl Harrison.

“She knew the money coming in was being paid in error but didn’t notify the NHS because she couldn’t afford to pay it back,” he said. [J4MB emphasis]

The court was told the single parent, who worked as a healthcare assistant on a zero-hours contract, spent the money on household bills.

“She didn’t inform anyone and lacked the foresight to realise the longer it went on for, the more she would have to pay back,” said Tim Lewis, defending. [J4MB emphasis. Laughable.]

The court was told O’Keefe was in “financial dire straits” after being sacked by the health board. [J4MB: Hmm, might Ms O’Keefe have done anything differently, to avoid being sacked?}

Mr Lewis said: “She wants to repay it but at the moment she’s not in a financial position to do so, and anyway – because she’s a woman – she thinks it’s really unfair being expected to return the money she stole.” [J4MB: We’ve added some missing but clearly implied words.]

Sentencing her, Judge Richard Twomlow said he accepted O’Keefe felt “real remorse” for her actions and had never been in trouble before.

“Despite the seriousness of this offence and despite the fact that none of the money has been repaid I am suspending your sentence,” said the judge. [J4MB: Why not be honest and say, “I’m suspending your sentence because vagina”?]

Philip Davies MP – some good news

We’ve just learned some good news which hasn’t yet been made public. Philip Davies MP (C, Shipley) will be standing again at the forthcoming general election, on 12 December. It will be interesting to see if the Women’s Equality Party fields a candidate in Shipley. The party’s former leader, Sophie “Doughnuts” Walker, lost her deposit there at the 2017 general election. Later that year, she led a Reading University alumni team to a 220-0 defeat on University Challenge. That’s feminists for you – universally challenged.

Battle of Ideas, London, November 2,3 – now with added J4MB!

[I thought it might be timely to re-post a piece first published by Elizabeth in August. She’ll be on the panel she mentions on the first day – Saturday, 1 November – and we’ll both be attending both days. We’re really looking forward to the event.]

Mike and I are pleased to confirm that we’ll be attending the Battle of Ideas at London’s Barbican Centre again this year. The event (the fifteenth in the series) takes over the building and fills it with debates on a range of topics, and many interesting people.

I am particularly pleased to announce that I have been invited to speak on a panel – From Peterson to Incels – is there a generation of ‘lost boys’?
