I recently bought a tent and allied equipment, with money donated by a generous Australian supporter for my personal use. I look forward to taking more regular and more affordable holidays in future. I’ll be off later today for a few days of camping – £20 per night for a pitch at a five-star site – and for the first time in years leaving my laptop behind. I’ll still be passing comments on blog pieces on my smartphone from time to time, but otherwise plan to focus on getting some rest, mosquitoes permitting. I’ll be back at work next Wednesday.
