BBC Radio 4: Jo Brand jokes about throwing battery acid, not milkshakes, over politicians she doesn’t like

Our thanks to Brian for this piece from Guido Fawkes, with the related audio (0:44):

Last night on Radio 4 (where else?) leftie luvvie Jo Brand fantasised about throwing acid over politicians she doesn’t like. Making the kind of joke that leaves a bad taste, she told Victoria Coren Mitchell “why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?” It’s okay because Jo is left wing so she’s really compassionate…

(She said:)

“Certain unpleasant characters are being thrown to the fore, and they’re very, very easy to hate, and I’m kind of thinking, why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?

That’s just me, sorry, I’m not gonna do it, it’s purely a fantasy, but I think milk shakes are pathetic, I honestly do. Sorry.”

She’s not the first to promote an acid attack. Nigel Farage tells Guido: “This is incitement of violence and the police need to act.”

Ewan Jones’s video on the Cambridge University talks

Our warm thanks to Ewan Jones, a hard-working MRA (a regular speaker at Speakers’ Corner) and videographer over some years, for permitting us to publish his video relating to our Cambridge University talks, on our YouTube channel. It’s a well-executed account which touches on the (ultimately unsuccessful) feminist campaign of lies and misrepresentations at the University to have our talks cancelled, the milkshaking incident three hours before the talks were to start, the student protesters preventing access to the building, and much more. Enjoy (video, 17:28).

Ewan’s BitChute channel is here.

The Tab: “J4MB Alleged Assault”, and the debunking of it

The increasingly desperate (and ludicrous) efforts of feminists and their allies to portray J4MB, its staff and supporters, and even attendees at talks, as threatening and violent, continues, in the complete absence of any supportive evidence for the narrative. The only threats and violence we’re aware of has been directed AT J4MB, by the very people who accuse us of assaulting and threeatneing them.

The Tab, a Cambridge University student online newspaper, yesterday posted on YouTube a two-second-long video clip with the title, J4MB Alleged Assault. The clip has no audio, and comments are disabled.

Glass Blind Spot has responded with a piece (video, 12:48) which puts the two-second clip into context (most of the file consists of an audio file recorded by the man). The man had just been restrained and assaulted by a number of protesters, and was reacting understandably to the woman who had allegedly threw liquid over him – it could have been acid, for all he knew at that moment.

The man is Jon Baily, who – along with his 16-year-old son – attended the talks (Jon was unknown to us before the event). His statement to us on the post-event provocation, harassment, and assault (reported to the police, shortly afterwards) is here. An extract:

On leaving the event we followed directions from the security staff which resulted in my son and I walking past a large crowd of protesters. A male protester decided to jump around my son verbally harassing him swearing and waving both hands in my son’s face whilst making an offensive “V” symbol. I approached this protester to ask why he thought it was acceptable to harass a minor. The protester decided to harass me instead – I then decided it would be best to walk away at which point I was surrounded by a group of protesters.

Whilst I was surrounded a liquid was thrown over me. I then tried to push my way out of the crowd as I was now concerned about my safety. The protesters grabbed me from behind and I was restrained by both arms and an arm around my neck. I was kicked and punched multiple times. It was only when a passer by pulled me from the crowd that I was able to escape.

During my assault my son tried to get back to me. It was at this time that another protester challenged Matthew asking him if he was a hard man. This protester was 6’4” and well built – he pushed is forehead into my son’s face, he used his head to push Matthew back. He also used his size to intimidate Matthew.

We publicly challenge The Tab to publish the full video surrounding the incident, including the audio file.

We hope the police will conclude their investigations ASAP so that the truth can be established and any criminals brought to justice.

The rise of ‘toxic femininity’: Author reveals female colleagues tricked her into making mistakes so she wouldn’t be promoted and told her everyone hated her – and insists other women create the REAL glass ceiling

Our thanks to Mike P for this. He was reminded of the account given (in 2009) by Samantha Brick, after she launched and tried to run an all-female TV production company – enjoy.

LIES, LIES, LIES. The Tab: J4MB talk attendee accused of assaulting student protesters.

Our thanks to J for this. The piece starts:

Statements from student protesters allege that an attendee “[punched] one of the male protesters in the neck unprovoked, then [pushed] a female protester against a wall.”

Several anonymous student protesters have released statements exclusively to the Tab detailing an alleged assault on student protesters by an attendant at the talk held by anti-feminist group J4MB (Justice 4 Men and Boys) on May 24th.

Why might the student protesters be “anonymous”? Perhaps because they don’t exist? Or if they do, they’re simply lying? We estimate there were 30-40 protesters, and we can be sure all (or nearly all) had video recording facilities on their phones. Between them, they failed to record any evidence of the violence supposedly done to them? Not credible. FAKE NEWS.

The lies continue on the Cambridge Facebook page of The Tab – here.

Bettina Arndt: Turkeys voting for Xmas

Firstly, our apologies that the website was unavailable for a period of about 24 hours, until about two hours ago. We’re still looking into the matter, but at this stage have no reason to believe the problem was due to any form of hostile attack.

An email received from Bettina Arndt yesterday:

Hi Everyone,

I have a fun video for you – my interview with UK journalist Peter Lloyd, author of the 2015 book Stand By Your Manhood which did a great job pulling together all the evidence about what was happening to men in our society and presenting it in a most entertaining manner.

Peter was prompted to write his book in response to the ‘dismissive, patronising and skewed narrative about heterosexual men’ now standard fare in mainstream media. His book demonstrated that it has become normal to consider masculinity as entirely negative and problematic and to present boys as ‘defective girls, damaged by default’ who need to be medicated, educated and socialised out of their masculinity.

His book exposes modern feminists’ determination to promote the idea that this privileged generation of women is still somehow oppressed. He’s now a media favourite on UK television panel shows representing the token male taking on the feminist ideologues. I’m showing you his famous ‘sticks and stones’ video, which has well over a million views on YouTube, where you’ll see his feminist antagonist having a total melt-down. Very funny.

Revealing the real Ita Buttrose

We include an extract from the first interview Peter did with Australian media soon after his book came out – with a morning television show, Studio 10. Anyone deluding themselves that the new Chair of the ABC, Ita Buttrose, will do anything about the appalling anti-male bias in that organisation, should look at Ita’s sneering treatment of Peter and his book.

You’ll hear Peter’s hilarious line about men who support feminism being like ‘turkeys voting for Christmas’  – a very apt description of another member of that Studio 10 panel, Daily Telegraph writer, Joe Hildebrand. You’ll see him in action virtue-signalling to his dim-witted feminist panellists by treating Peter in the most patronising manner.

That was four years ago but just a few weeks back a most amazing thing happened. Joe Hildebrand has been ‘red-pilled’, having finally seen the light about our male-bashing culture. A brutal murder of a homeless woman in Melbourne – by another homeless man – led the Assistant Commissioner of Police to make an inane comment that this was ‘all about men’s behaviour.’  Amazingly Hildebrand bucked and objected to this comment – both on television and in a newspaper column – saying the behaviour of this man had nothing to do with him.

Anyway, I am sure you will enjoy my discussion with Peter about all this – and many other issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7oKw34Kx7w

Please help promote my videos. I’m feeling a bit glum about the effort involved in producing these things which so rarely achieve good numbers.

Fake news on my Sydney University protest victory.

But I am still elated by this week’s Sydney University decision that the organisers of the protest against me will face consequences for breaches to codes of conduct in harassing me and my audience. This is a very significant decision by a university which has endlessly allowed these feral activists to close down events and silence speakers who challenge their ideology.

Yet look at the coverage in mainstream media this week. Here’s the headline in the Sydney Morning Herald:

Students given green light to protest after university dismisses free speech concerns

https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/students-given-green-light-to-protest-after-university-dismisses-free-speech-concerns-20190604-p51ueo.html

The whole article revolved around a bizarre comment by University of Sydney’s acting registrar, Peter McCallum, which described both my event and the counter-protest as ‘legitimate’ expressions of free speech. No mention, of course, as to why then they are now punishing the main organiser of the event, Maddy Ward, for her role in promoting this ‘free speech.’

Even more fascinating has been the indignation from Ward that she has had to bear some consequence for her misconduct. As we all know, it was the authoritarian left who insisted on codes of conduct regulating behaviour at universities. But now Ward is very publicly objecting to my success in ‘weaponizing the misconduct system’ against her. Look at her recent Facebook post.

https://www.facebook.com/thebettinaarndt/posts/467662973797346:0

The activists are doing their best to spread fake news about this news, promoting Sydney University’s absurd suggestion that the protest was legitimate, despite the fact that the riot squad was needed, at great public expense, to remove the unruly protesters and the key organiser has been found guilty of misconduct. Please contribute to public discussion over this issue so that the ideologues don’t distort the truth about what happened.

Cheers, Tina
