More speakers announced for the Chicago conference

A total of 27 speakers have now been announced for the Chicago conference, a number of them in recent days. I understand more will be announced over time. There will be two streams of speakers in different rooms at certain times, giving attendees a choice on which ones to catch. All the presentations will, of course, be video recorded, and later published on our YouTube channel, and others’ channels.

Tickets are selling faster than original expectations, you can order your ticket(s) here. From that page:

Regular tickets (purchased prior to May 18th) guarantee access to all presentations, although some presentations may require pre-booking due to demand. Conference tickets purchased after May 18th will grant access to presentations based on availability. Every regular ticket purchase comes with a discount coupon for a commemorative conference t-shirt, so please indicate your size!

I hope to see you in Chicago. A number of Brits other than Elizabeth and myself will be attending, some of whom attended the first conference near Detroit in 2014.

11 May: March for Life, Pre-March Workshops

Our position on abortion is contained in our last election manifesto (pp.5,6).

Members of the Men’s Human Rights Movement (MHRM) maintain diverse views on abortion. However, J4MB is committed to highlighting pro-life views and news, in the spirit of free speech, because pro-lifers’ access to the mainstream media discourse is severely curtailed.

Our thanks to a supporter for making us aware of forthcoming events on Saturday, 11 May. He says they will have a Christian ethos, but anyone who is pro-life will be welcome. Details:

2 May: Ewan “Excalibur” Jones to give a talk in Oxford Town Hall

A reminder that in just three days’ time, 2 May, the fearless Ewan “Excalibur” Jones will be giving a talk at Oxford Town Hall, courtesy of the good men at the Oxford Men’s Group. Details here.

Inspired by the reaction to the plan of Eizabeth Hobson and myself to give talks at Cambridge University on May 24, we shall be giving talks at Oxford University in the first term of the next academic year, details to follow.

Petition in favour of the planned speeches at the University of Cambridge by gender equality activists Mike Buchanan and Elizabeth Hobson

Only 25 days remain before our talks at Cambridge University, so we’re delighted to report that Alex Young, Media & Publicity Officer at the Oxford Men’s Group, has written an open letter to Stephen Toope, Vice-Chancellor at the university – here. Hopefully the associated petition will attract more signatories than the students’ petition asking for the talks to be cancelled. We urge you to sign it – you don’t need to live in the UK to do so – and you won’t have to leave your email address (it’s optional). Thank you.

Kathy Clugston, 49, BBC continuity announcer, knows nothing about gardening. She will host Gardener’s Question Time.

Our thanks to Mike P for this.

For the sake of my mental health I restrict how much BBC TV and radio I listen to, in particular avoiding Radio 4 at all costs (you rarely have to listen to Radio 4 for more than a minute or two before becoming aware of feminist influence). The ratio of women to men has become obscene – even on sports reporting – and much of the output seems to be women talking to other women about how they feel about things. And so it is that even a woman who knows nothing about gardening can host Gardener’s Question Time, a Radio 4 staple for 70+ years. An extract from the BBC piece, from the penultimate paragraph:

Last month, former GQT chairman Professor Stefan Buczacki accused the BBC of ‘dumbing down’ after her appointment was announced.

Rape victims must hand over mobile phones to police or risk cases being dropped

Our thanks to Steve for this piece on Sky. Of course the headline, “Rape victims must hand over mobile phones to police or risk cases being dropped”, is misleading. It assumes the women have been the victims of crimes, so men are guilty of them, having to prove themselves innocent. Only men can commit rape under the Sexual Offences Act, a piece of legislation highly influenced by radical feminists. Adding the word “alleged” at the beginning would be more accurate. An extract:

In rape and sexual assault cases, prosecutors also now use disclosure protocols previously used in terror trials.

The digital consent forms can be used for complainants in any criminal investigations but are most likely to be used in rape and sexual assault cases, where complainants often know the suspect.

The Centre for Women’s Justice (CWJ) said a legal challenge is expected from at least two individual women who have been told by police their cases are likely to collapse if they do not cooperate with requests for their personal data.

The law firm said the new measures were “clearly having a deterrent effect on the reporting of rape allegations”, giving the example of a woman, referred to as “Olivia”, who recently reported rape to police.

She said: “The data on my phone stretches back seven years and the police want to download it and keep it on file for a century.

“My phone documents many of the most personal moments in my life and the thought of strangers combing through it, to try to use it against me, [J4MB: In what sense is it “against me”, other than trying to prevent a miscarriage of justice, and an innocent man going to prison?] makes me feel like I’m being violated once again.” [J4MB: The assumption being she was “violated” in the first place.]

This is all utter nonense, with the usual inclusion of emotionality. The only “rape allegations” which will be deterred will be FALSE rape allegations. The idea that men should go to prison following false rape allegations, because police shouldn’t have access to phone and social media records, is a feminist objective, and has been happening on a large scale for years.

We can expect malicious women in future to respond to the police’s requirement for personal data by sending messages on social media, emails etc., to people saying they’ve been raped, as if that in itself is somehow evidence that they have been raped. And so the bludgeoning of men by one of feminists’ favourite weapon, rape, will continue relentlessly.
