But Tory MP Philip Davies told him to but (sic) out of politics – or quit the church and join the Labour party properly.

He blasted: “Justin Welby ought to consider removing his dog collar and replacing it with a Labour Party rosette.

Being a left wing Labour Party apologist will in all likelihood be at odds with the majority of the Church of England congregation.

“No wonder church attendances are so poor – another member of the metropolitan Elite establishment out of touch with the silent majority.”
