The Non-Feminist Declaration – in German

I was pleased to receive an email this morning from Michael Klein, a German MRA and blogger who has lived in the UK for some years. He has long operated the highly-regarded German language website Science Files. We thank him for going to the trouble of translating The Non-Feminist Declaration into German – here.

Before we launched J4MB in 2013, Michael Klein had been the Research Director for Campaign for Merit in Business.

50.50 link to the Football 365 blog piece which led to ICMI18 at Birmingham City FC being cancelled… the missing comments

I was somewhat surprised that Lara Whyte, in her 50.50 hit piece on the conference, had linked to the scurrilous Football 365 blog piece which led to Birmingham City FC cancelling the contract to host ICMI18 at their stadium – because the blog piece contained a long stream of comments supporting our positions. Our thanks to Stu for solving the mystery of why Ms Whyte did so. Football 365 have removed the comments stream, possibly at the request of Ms Whyte, who knows? Our thanks to Stu for saving the comments stream on the Football 365 piece as it was starting to die down, here.

A hit piece by 50.50 – “Young men should be furious”: inside the world’s largest gathering of men’s rights activists

Just published. This is a deplorable feminist propaganda piece, full of mistakes and deliberately misleading comments. To take but one example:

“In a breakout room ahead of the event’s keynote speech by Karen Straughan… I was the only woman in a room of entirely white men.”

That may have been true (at times just one or a handful of people were in that room) but it’s designed to give the false impression that the conference delegates were all white men, while this “journalist” knows full well there were plenty of women, as well as black- and brown-skinned men, at the event.

The Non-Feminist Declaration

Along with Elizabeth Hobson, our Director of Communications, and others, I recently contributed to a document whose contents I read out at the start of my conference speech – The Non-Feminist Declaration. It has already been translated into German.

We invite you to become a signatory. A list of early signatories is here. They include the writer James Delingpole and Paul Joseph Watson.

The Non-Feminist Revolution starts here.

Vice – a lame article on ICMI18

Robert Jackman’s photograph of some of the “Feminist of the Month” placards at the conference

Vice has published a very silly article on the conference – here. The “journalist” is Robert Jackman. We didn’t give any media passes to Vice – likewise Buzzfeed, for obvious reasons – and nobody by the name of Robert Jackman applied for a ticket. I forwarded a link to the article to a senior colleague, asking for a response. She replied with “Lame.” A good point, well made, I thought.

We’ll shortly be publishing videos of the 20 speakers’ presentations on our YouTube channel, and we’re happy to let people make up their own minds about their content.

The fourth International Conference on Men’s Issues, London – ICMI18

[Update 28.8.18: Playlists of videos of all 71 presentations at the four conferences to date, along with additional materials e.g. speaker interviews, are here.]

A little more than 24 hours has passed since the end of the conference, and I can say without fear of contradiction that it was the best conference in the series so far. All the people who’d attended all four conferences thought so. There was a real buzz in the venue from beginning to end, people had travelled from 24 countries, as far away as New Zealand.

All 20 speakers were well received, and as always the evening socializing was something special. As expected, and in line with previous conferences, no protesters turned up.

If everyone who read this gave us just £1.00 – or even better, £1.00 or more, monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.
