#MeToo Labels Morgan Freeman a “Creepy Uncle”

Morgan Freeman is the latest in the list of Hollywood men to be subjected to the #MeToo witch hunt. Joanna Williams argues that the campaign is “no longer about what a man has done but about how a woman feels” – and that it’s counterproductive. I struggle to recall the moment that #MeToo was simply about “what a man has done”. #MeToo has always been primarily about how (histrionically prudish) women feel – with a shield provided by women complaining about ‘what a man has done’ – and an underbelly of entirely false allegations.

Feminism Ruins Everything – Including Alien!

James Cameron has criticised the final scene in Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ for objectifying Sigourney Weaver’s character, Ripley.

Weaver’s keennes to participate in the scene is apparently an irrelevance to him, as are the fairly obvious reasons that the decision to strip Weaver down to her underwear may have been taken (to emphasise her belief that she’s safe – making the appearance of the Xenomorph more surprising – and to leave her as vulnerable as possible).

It’s a great scene in a great film but “feminism ruins everything” (in the words of 6oodfella). My only hope is that in pushing this agenda, representations of sexuality that heterosexual men are likely to enjoy will become subversive… And, that this will lead to increasing courage and creativity in the cultural sector which will push the boundaries, imposed by feminist aggression, both in the making of art and in the public politics of the auteurs.

Cyclists in London are too white, male and middle class, says bike tsar and mangina Will Norman (white, male, middle class) in diversity push to stop the rise of ‘Mamils’ (that’s ‘Middle-Aged Men In Lycra’)

Will Norman, Sadiq Khan's new cycling tsar wants to diversify cycling  to stop London's cycling routes being overwhelmed by middle class men

Our thanks to a number of supporters for this. So, why are men outnumbering women in this area? The answer is work ethic, a preparedness to do things which are physically and/or mentally challenging. Go to any park and see what the ratio of men and women (or boys and girls) exercising or playing sports are. It’s rarely less than 10:1, sometimes 20:1. No taxpayer-funded initiatives will ever change that reality, though they may provide employment for otherwise unemployable SJWs.

Hannah Sandover, 18, made false accusation of rape after her ex-boyfriend rejected her

A piece by Wil Crisp in yesterday’s Telegraph. Emphases ours.

A teenage girl falsely accused ex-boyfriend of drugging and raping her when he refused to rekindle their romance, a court heard.

Hannah Sandover, 18, had been dating her ex-boyfriend, also 18, for nearly a year when they broke up.

She later told a friend he had spiked her water bottle and forced himself on her in the back of his car during a trip to the Westbury White Horse in Wiltshire.

Her worried friend went to the police and Sandover gave a statementsaying: “He became forceful and pinned me down, I kept telling him to stop.

“I think he had drugged the water I was drinking.”

She claimed she got into the back of car to stretch out in an attempt to ease stomach pains, before her former boyfriend jumped on her.

Sandover also claimed that one of her friends was sitting in the front of the car, but was listening to music through headphones so did not know what was going on.

When she was taken to a clinic for an examination, her story started to change as she admitted she hadn’t been drugged.

Sandover admitted she made it all up when her family began to question the story.

She admitted a charge of wasting police time at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court, Wiltshire.

Prosecutor Ryan Seneviratine said: “Miss Sandover is extremely lucky that she didn’t get charged with perverting the course of justice, only due to her age and the fact she has no previous convictions. [J4MB: It’s remarkable how often women are “extremely lucky” with respect to the criminal injustice system, while men very rarely are. Have we ever heard such points being made about young men’s ages and lack of previous convictions?]

“Her ex-boyfriend has said his confidence in approaching girls has been completely ruined.

“He was kept in custody for five-and-a-half hours and underwent intimate tests. “And all because she wanted to get back at him.

“She had numerous times to say the allegations were lies, but she didn’t.”

Defending, Moses Tawo said: “She was too scared to admit she had been lying.

“The only person she told the story to was her friend, she never meant for it to be taken to the police and couldn’t tell me why she had told lies.

“She has faced some health issues, [J4MB: And the relevance of these “health issues” to this case would be…?] and when the only relationship she had with anyone ended, she panicked, which she now shows remorse for.”

Sandover was bailed for sentence on June 8.

In the meantime, what compensation will her former boyfriend get? Diddly squat, as always in such cases.
