Our thanks to Stu for this piece in the Daily Mail. The start of the piece:

A stalker tried to ‘destroy’ a care worker by making false gang rape allegations because she had been left out of a trip to the zoo, a court heard.

Emily-Jane Bridges, 37, harassed Sandra Killion for ten months after receiving a suspended sentence and restraining order for stalking.

She was incensed because there was not space on a trip to the London Zoo with the Havering Learning Disability Society, which Bridges had attended since 2005.

Bridges blamed Mrs Killion, who is chair of the society based in Romford, east London.

Between February 20 and April 21, Bridges made a series of historic rape allegations against her to police, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

She claimed that Mrs Killion, her husband, step-son and four other men raped her ‘twice a day, seven days a week, for 18 years’. [J4MB emphasis]

But she changed her story multiple times during the police interview and the charges were eventually dropped.

Jeff Beck: Still on the run

A tip of the hat to the BBC for this, broadcast a few hours ago, and watchable for BBC licence holders in the UK. It’s a treat even if you have to bear with the numerous unknown female singers / lead guitarists / bass guitarists, BBC gender propaganda at its finest – no unknown male singers / lead guitarists / bass guitarists make an appearance. Anyone who knows anything about rock music in the past 60 years knows that in the top 100 lead guitarists / bass guitarists, not one woman makes an appearance.

Women complain that World’s Best Female Chef award is sexist

Our thanks to Nick for this. The start of the piece:

A female chef of the year award is sexist, chefs have complained, as they said that cooking “is not like sport”.

The World’s Best Female Chef accolade, won this year by British chef Clare Smyth, is awarded by The World’s Best 50 Restaurants, but there is no equivalent prize given out to male chefs.

Pip Lacey, former head chef at Murano, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Mayfair, described the women-only award as “odd”.

Ms Lacey, who is opening her own restaurant in London this summer, said: “I don’t get why we have to segregate the award – it’s a bit odd. I don’t see why you can’t compete with men, why there’s not just one category.

“It’s not like how in sport you are competing at a different physical level, I don’t think cooking is like that.”

Rebecca Tott, 20, aide to minister Dominic Raab suspended over sugar daddy claims

A piece by Patrick Maguire in yesterday’s Times:

A minister’s secretary who is alleged to have been caught selling sex online has been suspended from her post.

Officials at the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government are investigating a civil service employee who worked until Wednesday as diary secretary to Dominic Raab, the housing minister.

The woman, 20, is alleged to have advertised herself to “sugar daddies” on a website where wealthy men make financial arrangements with younger women, known as sugar babies. She is said to have offered an undercover reporter from the Daily Mirror, posing as a businessman, “full undisputed access to me” for £750 per meeting.

Rebecca Tott featured in a poster for a civil service apprenticeship scheme

Rebecca Tott featured in a poster for a civil service apprenticeship scheme.

The Mirror did not disclose the woman’s identity but she was named last night as Rebecca Tott, from Ashford in Surrey. She joined the civil service when she was 16, and featured in a poster campaign for its apprenticeship scheme. She has also been diary secretary for Lord Heseltine.

Ms Tott told The Sun: “Obviously the allegations aren’t fantastic. They aren’t great for my career but we’ll deal with that.” [J4MB emphasis]

The Mirror had quoted her describing in detail the nature of her job and disparaging Mr Raab’s character, as well as suggesting that she would be willing to have sex on his desk. She told the undercover reporter: “Basically, I organise his entire life. I know everything about him. I know his every move.” She allegedly added that she would “love to get sacked” for having sex in Mr Raab’s ministerial office.

Concerns for the security of Mr Raab and other ministers were raised by the report. A source at the Home Office, which shares an office complex with the housing ministry in Marsham Street, Westminster, told the London Evening Standard that it was alarmed. Noting that Ms Tott had worked in an office a “stone’s throw” from that of Amber Rudd, the home secretary, the source said: “There is clear potential for blackmail if these reports are true.”

Mr Raab had no role in employing Ms Tott, who as a former civil service apprentice was not a political appointee, and there is no suggestion that he was aware of her actions. A spokesman for the housing ministry insisted that no official government information had been disclosed, but the incident is still likely to be embarrassing for the department, whose premises are subject to some of the tightest security in Whitehall, and to Mr Raab.

Ms Tott complained that Mr Raab, a right-wing Brexiteer tipped by some as a future leadership challenger, was “so weird”, “difficult” and “dismissive of women” and said that he “thinks he’s prime minister”, according to the Daily Mirror. She said he made her buy him the same sandwich from Pret a Manger every day, a revelation that provoked mirth in Westminster yesterday.

A ministry spokesman said: “We are aware of this allegation… and are investigating. There is no suggestion that any official information has been disclosed.” Mr Raab did not comment.

Alison Tieman: Men’s Rights to blame for Alek Minassin according to CBC interview

Outstanding (video, 6:16). “INCEL” means “involuntarily celibate”. The opening lines of the Wiki page on Alek Minassin:

The Toronto van attack occurred on April 23, 2018, when a rented van was driven along a sidewalk and into pedestrians at approximately 60 kilometres per hour (37 mph) along Yonge Street in the North York City Centre business district of Toronto, killing 10 and injuring 14, some critically. The suspected driver, 25-year-old Alek Minassian, was arrested at 1:32 p.m., 7 minutes after the first 9-1-1 call reporting the incident was made, just south of the crime scene. The attack is the deadliest vehicle-ramming attack in Canadian history.

Alison will be one of 20 speakers at the July conference, her talk title being, “How compassion for men shapes civilization”. A few tickets remain on sale, you can order yours here.

Denmark’s Liberals to oppose circumcision ban

Denmark's Liberals to oppose circumcision ban

Caption in Danish paper The Local: A Muslim boy is circumcised in Bulgaria.

Our thanks to Patrick Smyth for retweeting this. Extracts from the piece:

Denmark’s ruling Liberal Party has come out against a ban on the circumcision of young boys, meaning the controversial citizen’s proposal is unlikely to make it through parliament.

“It has been difficult today, and if we had taken the easy route, we would have said ‘yes’ to a ban,” the party’s group chairman, Søren Gade, told the Berlingske newspaper after a long-drawn out meeting of party MPs to discuss the issue on Tuesday. [J4MB: What a liar. The easy route was to say “no” to a ban, so that’s what these spineless politicians did.]

Opinion polls in the past have found that close to three quarters of Danes support a ban on the circumcision of boys and the Danish Medical Association has also called for it to be illegal under the age of 18.

The opposition Social Democrats and the populist Danish People’s Party have both come out in opposition to the ban. The Liberal Alliance and the Conservative party plan to give their MPs a free vote. The Socialist People’s Party (SF) is the only party which is requiring its MPs to vote in favour.

“We think it’s very simple,” SF health spokesperson Kirsten Normann Andersen said earlier this month.

“We had no problems deciding to forbid female circumcision, we had no problem scrapping the right for parents to smack children, and now it’s time to get to grips with this issue.” [J4MB emphasis. Amen to that sentiment.]

Dominic Raab’s diary secretary ‘selling sex on sugar daddy website’

A piece by Sam Coates, Deputy Political Editor of The Times, in today’s edition:

A civil servant who organises the diary of a minister has a second job as a prostitute, it was reported last night.

The official, who works as diary secretary for Dominic Raab in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, offered an undercover Daily Mirror reporter sexual services in exchange for money, the paper alleged.

The woman, 20, whose identity was not disclosed by the newspaper, indicated that she was prepared to have sex on Mr Raab’s office desk.

The paper said that the woman was “selling sex” on seekingarrangement. com, a website that allows “sugar daddies” to make financial arrangements with “sugar babies”. She said that she aimed to earn up to £5,000 a month from rich clients but always insisted that “everything is protected”.

She told the undercover reporter, who was posing as a wealthy businessman, that for £750 he could have “full undisputed access to me”.

Questions were raised about the minister’s security after the official described her role working for Mr Raab to the undercover reporter, saying: “I’m his PA. I deal with him on a daily basis. Basically, I organise his entire life. I know everything about him. I know his every move. I know where he is today.”

Dai Davies, a former royal protection chief for the Metropolitan Police, said: “This revelation should cause grave concerns for those responsible for protection of our most senior politicians. This individual knows a great deal of sensitive information yet she does not even know who she is revealing it to.

“If she is being so open with someone she has barely met, then she could be liable to blackmail.”

The diary secretary complained that the top Tory was “difficult”, “dismissive of women” and “thinks he’s prime minister”, the paper reported. She added that he had “tunnel vision” and revealed that he bought the same lunch from Pret a Manger every day.

She said: “I’m not his biggest fan. You have to be very straight with him. He finds it difficult dealing with women. He’s very dismissive.

“Our team . . . there are three women and two men and he struggles with that. So we find it very difficult to manage him. He’s very tunnel vision. He’s not very open-minded. Not very open to discussion. He’s difficult to work with. I think he thinks he’s the prime minister. “He puts himself above everybody . . . he’s not the favourite minister I’ve worked for.”

She added: “He’s an enjoyable challenge. I like being the strong woman who can handle him, showing the other women around me you don’t have to put up with his shit.

“He needs loosening up, he’s very uptight. I would love to get him high. He would lose his shit. When things go out of line he panics.”

Mr Raab and his aides did not return a request for comment. The housing ministry told the Daily Mirror: “We are aware of this allegation and are investigating. There is no suggestion any official information has been disclosed.”

Women are strong! Women are amazing!! Women will have sex with strangers on MPs’ desks for money!!!
