BBC’s report into pay inequality finds NO gender bias in the way stars’ salaries are decided but announces ‘substantial pay cuts for men and increases for women’

Our thanks to Ray for this. In summary:

– there is no gender bias in the way stars’ salaries are decided
– the BBC is announcing substantial pay cuts for men, and increases for women
– the BBC is introducing gender bias into the way stars’ salaries are decided

Am I missing something here?

  1. This was my conclusion that the BBC are moving from a defensible and reasonable position in which there is no evidence of gender bias towards one of overt discrimination against men.

Will someone dare to take a sex discrimination case?

  2. What is happening right now has nothing to do with Communism, even though it strongly resembles it. It has everything to do with the ‘ Ladies & Gentlemen’ culture, transposed into a different era.. Women still think (and men too) that just because in Victorian times they were treated above the rules due to the fact they did not participate in the labour market, they can continue to receive preferential treatment and be above the rules despite the fact they now participate and compete with men in education and for jobs in the workplace. They think that because they are ladies, they need not be able to compete with men on an equal footing and still get paid the same or more. Well, times have changed and being a lady is no longer enough to get everything for free. Both women and especially men need to realize this. Times have changed. BBC is going to get a taste of its own medicine now… I hope their PC culture sinks them, unless they reform.

  3. This is a hilarious example of modern sexism in action. Step One: commission a report and find that you are doing nothing wrong. Step Two: force your male employees to take a pay cut and give the money to women, despite the fact that they’ve done nothing to deserve it except complain. The reduction of Western life to women’s “feelz” continues apace.

  4. Quote:-
“….However BBC Women have already said they have ‘no confidence’ in the review and have been ‘excluded from the process’.

More than 120 female staff have lodged formal grievances against the Corporation, following the controversy….”

This means the demands will never end, but will contiue getting more outrageous indefinitly.
Why stop a successful attack when you’re winning?

But apparently the Corporation can’t understand this.

  5. This is another one for the bulging feminist fraud file. It’s like the travesty of paying female tennis players at Wimbledon the same prize money as the men, when they play 40% less tennis and bring in less than one third of the ticket revenue. Only this time the idiots at the BBC have gone one step further. They have proven that there is no sex discrimination against women, but have decided to blatantly discriminate against men anyway.
I suppose it’s too much to expect the spineless wonders who comprise the male employees at the BBC to complain about the obvious unfairness of this move, but maybe their wives will be less than thrilled that their household income is going to be hit by this farce.
