  1. How could she ever have imagined that telling people what they’ve just said, especially when they haven’t, was a valid technique to employ against Anyone, never mind someone at the top of his game like Peterson?

    ‘Riding for a fall’ is one phrase that comes to mind.

    If you’re going to go around bullying, you best make sure you’re damn good at it first.
    And even then it’s Only-A-Matter-Of-Time before you meet someone even better.

    ‘Just desserts’, is another phrase that introduces itself with a cheery wave here.

    I’m put in mind of the small kid who has just discovered they can run round the playground thumping other kids, until one thumps them back – then it’s tears time.

     Perhaps surprisingly, Newman has not yet progressed beyond that very same playground stage  herself it's clear.
