Three months ago we linked to a Times article on a man convicted for grabbing a woman’s breasts during sex. An extract:
Philip Queree was a mature student (J4MB: 37) in his third year at Kings’ College medical school in London but had to drop out as a result of his conviction. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register.
Our thanks to Bryn for pointing us to a piece in the Metro about his ridiculous conviction being overturned.
At least, belatedly, common sense prevailed. But what kind of society can even consider something like this to be an offence in the first place !
It’s like criminalizing the holding of a woman by the waist when slow-dancing.
We have let women vote, govern and make decisions and all they come up with is sheer idiocy. Nothing positive at all.

Thank God that this ludicrous conviction was revoked; what a totally absurd conviction to have been awarded by the Court! This unfortunate man was studying medicine at King’s and he was, of course, obliged to withdraw from his course. Let’s hope that King’s might view the fact that his conviction was overturned in a favourable light and allow him to be reinstated on his medical degree. The NHS desperately needs more male students to qualify as medics!

They shouldn’t be kicking people with criminal convictions off their courses anyway. The way that convictions for even minor crimes in this country seems to result in job loss and long term unemployment has always disturbed me. If that’s not supposed to be part of the sentence then why does it happen?

Its something I’ve noticed about our justice system lately; it seems a lot happier letting women off than it does locking up men on absurd charges. Oh, don’t get me wrong, the police and the CPS seem happy to sell a man down the swanny by hiding evidence and charging people even in cases where you can see CCTV evidence that proves they didn’t do it. But the judges themselves are evidently due another brainwashing session at the Feminist Ministry of Justice if the latest string of releases is anything to go by. Now, how about some false accusers getting some serious jail time?
