  1. Looks like a practical positive initiative. It seems that a large part of the homelessness problem is that spontaneous cash donations on the street are too often used to fund the problems inherent within being homeless..ie drugs and alcohol.
In that way empathetic ‘do-gooders’ actually enable the circumstances which led to the nihilistic outlook of disengagement in the first place.

So here we see a man thinking logically towards a realistic solution to the problem. Offering ‘care and sympathy’ has it’s place but professional training opportunities takes the issue beyond the emotive. Superb.
Well done that man. Well done also to those men who have the faith and self-commitment to take on the challenge of pushing forwards to new opportunities.

    • I’m so glad to see this. From experience I know males are in fact hard to help, because generally they are not happy to accept “charity”. I’m not interested here whether this is nature or nurture, but it does mean that ideas such as this are so valuable in giving males the lift they need without making them feel useless ( I guess it goes back to men being “human doings”). Women are much easier to help because even in this sphere they are “consumers”, used to being able to rely on others.
At this time of year generally there is more about homelessness, I hope readers will promote this in whatever way they can.
