John Lewis gender-neutral childrenswear removes ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ labels

Our thanks to Martin for this. An extract:

Caroline Bettis, head of childrenswear at John Lewis, said: “We do not want to reinforce gender stereotypes within our John Lewis collections and instead want to provide greater choice and variety to our customers, so that the parent or child can choose what they would like to wear.”

Hmm, might this utter BS have something to do with the fact that the new Managing Director of John Lewis is Paula Nickolds, the first woman to hold the position? We look forward to the commercial decline of John Lewis, and the inevitable claim of sexism by Ms Nickolds when she’s fired for failing to deliver. It’s an outrage that eight out of the nine people on the Waitrose Management Team have penises, not vaginas. How on earth does the store continue to be successful? It’s a mystery, for sure.

If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

  1. Call me old fashioned, but I would have thought that any parent who decides to impose girls’ clothes on a boy would be regarded as being psychologically abusive?… Ah.. wait a moment though.. that doesn’t apply if the decision maker is feminist does it?! Then it would be regarded as ‘compassionate’ and ‘forward thinking’. Meanwhile, a father who insists his 4 year old daughter wears boys shoes, boys underwear, boys trousers and boys shirts to school would, quite rightly, be regarded as suffering mental health issues, requiring a knock on the door from the ever-so concerned social services.

So the Post Modern Cultural Marxist lobby takes another psychologically abusive step forward, using children as its experimental guinea pigs…
It’s difficult to add any conclusion in printable language so I will leave it with eight words the PC brigade has not yet had deemed to be hate speech:
    Disgraceful.
    Ridiculous.
    Irresponsible.
    Parentally Narcissistic.
    Manipulative.
    Intrusive.
    Exploitative.
    Covertly Hateful.

May logic and genuine intelligence prevail.

  2. I find it amazing that we live in an era where technology, supply chains etc make it possible to tailor and customise products more than ever before, yet instead we have companies like this not even allowing for basic biology and refusing to even carry separate lines for males and females.

They’re intentionally making their products worse and less comfortable to wear simply for politcal reasons.
