Colin and Jacqueline Little, a married couple, had power of attorney over his mother, in her 70s. Both found guilty of stealing money from her bank account. Colin received a 32 month prison sentence, Jacqueline a suspended sentence.

Our thanks to Stu for this.

  1. I was expecting to see this in the Daily Mail, but it was the BBC, without any comment. But you can see similar stories in the Mail almost every day. I often think 7 days’ worth coverage of the courts in the Daily Mail is worth 1000 (or even more) of the Guardian’s leftliberal feminist garbage opinion pieces.

We all know what the score is here. Maybe Philip Davies can raise the issue at a fringe meeting in the ‘Conservative’ Party Conference?

  2. Oh that is awful – a suspended sentence on her record is going to ruin her chances of getting a nice little part-time job in any STEM field to top up her benefits while Colin is away enjoying himself, doing his time with the lads. Whatever is she going to do to survive? Has anyone started a collection?

  3. What is really frightening is that this sort of thing goes on every day and yet people on the whole still seem to believe that it is self evident that women are discriminated against in our society.
