Cammelia Cheshire: “My mum and brother both ended their lives after he was falsely accused of rape.”

Our thanks to John for this. He writes:

Mike,

At least three papers covered an interview with Jay Cheshire’s sister yesterday. Obviously an incredibly important case and unsurprisingly she contemplated suicide too. One has to wonder how many other families have been wiped out by false allegations.

The original interview is in the Mirror. [J4MB: above link]

Other coverage by the Mail and Sun. Needless to say, I can’t find anything on the BBC.

  1. Mike, you might like to know I left a comment on the Mirror’s web site on false rape claims, setting out the facts, and mentioning J4MB. The Mirror deleted it.

  2. Even when she apologised, she was abdicating responsibility by saying someone ‘pressurised’ her. She should say she was drunk when she made the accusation. I was drunk your honour, I didn’t consent to accusing him. Wasn’t me guv’nor.
