One of Norway’s ruling parties votes to ban circumcision for males under 16 years old

Our thanks to Tim for this. An extract:

The party leader, Siv Jensen, told the Aftenposten newspaper that she was against forbidding circumcision.

  1. I typed out a really long, detailed comment explaining my experience, the fact it’s illegal all over the world where there are GBH laws, etc. “Held for moderation”. What’s the betting it doesn’t get posted. I made the point there’s no scientific evidence FGM is worse in terms of sensory loss. They just won’t post it. They can’t handle the truth.

Edit: I managed to get a comment through. You’re not allowed to type foreskin or penis!

  2. I managed to get a second comment through. Someone’s already thumbed me down. Wait for it. Outraged normies shouting “FGM is barbaric, circumcision isn’t a big deal” incoming.

  3. Well done them. But the Independent’s report is a model of the sort of opposition this gets. So of course it links it to being anti immigrant and anti Semitism and islamphobia. But also refers to men and young men when the Norwegian party is clear in the age 16.So the putative law would protect children, and of course mainly babies. Leaving over 16s to decide for themselves. Quite a reasonable idea in reality but cleverly twisted by the Independent. Since when have we referred to boys under 16 as “men”?

  4. Good to see my comments being thumbed up. I’m surprised. Maybe some guys from here helped counter the downvotes from SJWs.
