Melanie Jeffs is a lesbian radical feminist, and leads the Nottingham Women’s Centre. She’s one of our Lying Feminists of the Month (April 2015).
Our thanks to Tim for pointing us to an advert for a new chief executive, here. Excerpts:
Nottingham Women’s Centre has a history of promoting gender equality in Nottinghamshire since 1971, delivering high-quality services to women, maintaining a women’s community centre and acting as a key voice on women’s issues locally. [Yes, that looks like ‘a history of promoting gender equality’.]
Please apply online to be considered for the Female Chief Executive role.
Due to the nature and sensitivity of the projects client group, it is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9 for the post holder to be female.

Our thanks to Bryn for this. A shocking case. Excerpts:
A husband and wife who subjected a disabled woman to horrific sexual assaults while holding her as a virtual prisoner have been jailed.
Keith, 61, and Caroline Baker, 56, kept their victim in a squalid room without carpet, a light bulb, bedclothes or curtains, for eight years.
Police rescued her from the house in Craigavon, County Armagh, in 2012.
The woman, who had severe learning difficulties, was emaciated and had only a single tooth left in her mouth…
Mr Baker, who was raised in Guernsey and lived most of his life in Kent, was sentenced to 15 years in jail and a further five years on licence after his release. [my emphasis]
His wife received a three-year sentence – 18 months of that term will be spent in jail, with the remainder on licence… [my emphasis]
During sentencing at Craigavon Crown Court on Tuesday, Judge Patrick Lynch QC said Keith Baker was a “Svengali-type figure” who exercised great control over his wife, who was a “pawn doing his bidding”.
“It is not easy to understand how these individuals have so lost their moral compass that they could subject an individual who clearly exhibited serious mental defects to mistreatment, in sexual terms depriving her of any dignity and even the most basic of living standards,” said the judge.
I cannot recall the ‘Svengali defence’ ever being used as a mitigating circumstance for a male criminal being influenced by a female criminal. Men must be held responsible and punished severely, while women must be excused and punished lightly, if at all.

Paula Sherriff is an odious Labour MP, appointed as a prospective parliamentary candidate from an all-women shortlist, in common with many other men-hating vile Labour MPs, such as Jess Phillips. On International Men’s Day (2016), during the debate led by Philip Davies, Sherriff lied about the awards presented to her colleagues, including our Lying Feminist of the Month awards. She duly won her own award, her certificate is here.
Sherriff and Phillips were both key players in the ridiculous ‘tampon tax’ campaign, and a spineless George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, decided to hand over the money to women’s groups such as Women’s Aid. You couldn’t imagine a more ideologically-driven organisation.
The anti-life heart of feminism has been exposed by Sherriff, here. Excerpts:
A quarter of a million pounds raised from a controversial levy on sanitary products – which the Government promised to give to women’s charities – was donated to Life, a charity that campaigns against terminations…
The news sparked outrage among women’s groups and health campaigners.
Fellow Labour MP Louise Haigh said: “This was meant to go to women in need, not an organisation driven by ideology.” [I think she means, ‘an organisation driven by a WRONG ideology, one that seeks to save unborn children, rather than kill them’.]
A spokesperson for Life said: “We believe that our support services for women are not a luxury but are essential for them to have the space to look at options for continuing their pregnancies with support.”

Our thanks to Mike P for this. The start of the piece:
Essays will be marked down unless they use ‘gender-sensitive language’, students at a British university have been told.
Many universities are already advising students and staff not to use ‘gender-offensive’ terms such as ‘he’ or ‘she’ to describe people that could be either male or female.
And terms such as ‘mankind’, ‘manpower’ and ‘manmade’ are frowned upon by academics if used in essays.
But now the school of social science at the University of Hull has gone one step further by threatening to deduct marks from students for using such phrases.
A document sent to students reads: ‘Language is important and highly symbolic.
‘In your essay I thus expect you to be aware of the powerful and symbolic nature of language and use gender-sensitive formations.
‘Failure to use gender-sensitive language will impact on your mark.’
As always, passive-aggressive feminist ‘academics’ who are parasites on taxpayers, mainly men – they’d be utterly unemployable outside academia – are surely behind this effort at outlawing thoughtcrime.

Our thanks to L for this. There’s nothing in the piece to suggest ‘Kirie’ is working with other women, so her caravan is technically not a brothel – despite the silly headline in The Metro – and therefore perfectly legal. An excerpt:
A senior lecturer said: ‘A couple of students told me about it rather jokingly and I didn’t believe them at first.
‘Then I went to investigate and saw it in front of the entrance. There were men acting strangely, loitering, constantly coming and going and there all manner of noises coming from it when I walked by.
‘I can promise you the vehicle was rocking back and forth on the suspension in broad daylight.’
The hardcore German porn film star has previously been investigated by police but she was found to be doing nothing wrong.
Yet the lecturer insists that there’s a time and place for everything and said ‘opposite a university is just not acceptable.’
