No outrage from the feminists, so far as I’m aware, because the alleged criminal is a woman – which is hardly surprising, given that FGM is almost invariably carried out by women, at the behest of women. The denial of this stark reality by the CPS/police in the UK inevitably leads to more FGM and no convictions, but hey, it provides employment for otherwise unemployable men-hating women in the FGM industry. In a similar vein, feminists’ demands that women shouldn’t be held responsible for their own protection by drinking alcohol moderately leads to more rapes, and employment for otherwise unemployable men-hating women in the rape industry.

Justice for Men & Boys 
Yes it is a total nonsense. In this country the single prosecution was such a farce that the Judiciary commented on it as it was the Doctor “repairing” damaged tissue following a very difficult birth. This case from Detroit is much more credible simply because the cultures involved regard FGM as womens’ business to be kept from men. Bizarrely the training rolled out to all public services makes just this point. So the offence of doing and the offence of taking a girl out of the country to be “cut” are likely to be perpetrated by women precisely because the culture is so sex segregated! Just as much of the abuse in Asian families is done or orchestrated by mothers in law against daughters in law and “arrangements” in arranged marriages are orchestrated by women. You’d think feminists would be all over this as this female running of the “private” and female side of life is supposedly forced by the “patriarchy”.
But they’re not are they? For some it is no doubt for the money, for others the ideological importance of pointing at such evidence of patriarchy for the furtherance of first world agendas such as non exec board memberships but I suspect for most because they are still totally wedded to the Victorian “sugar and spice” views of woman.

The Detroit case has hit the headlines all over the world, and quite rightly the doctor in question faces a potential life sentence. What’s important to note is that she ISN”T accused of carrying out any of the most severe types of FGM, instead “only” cutting the clitoral hood and/or labia. Her sick crimes are therefore remarkably similar in severity to MGM, so anyone who (quite rightly) thinks she needs locking up for a long time should be of the exact same opinion of thousands of her colleagues who subject boys to the same abuses on a daily basis.
