A tip of the hat to Philip Davies for this. An excerpt:
The recurring theme is the number of MPs in different parties who tell me, privately and in a whisper, “Of course you are absolutely right about this, it is all ridiculous” but – with very few but notable exceptions – will not dare to say so publicly.
This highlights two things. Firstly, most MPs lack courage – even to say things which are just plain common sense.
Secondly, it demonstrates how petrified MPs are at standing up to the increasingly extreme feminist agenda, which no longer seems to argue for equality and thinks it is perfectly acceptable to discriminate against men.

we do indeed but for the moment he ,they, need to feel supported. I expect a big challenge will be the PMs long “consultation” on Domestic Violence and Abuse. The power of feminists in the political process is to associate heinous crimes that everyone is revolted by ; rape, sexual assault violence in relationships with a much wider and unconnected agenda from STEM Post graduate bursaries to women on FTSE Boards. So in a clever technique that has proven immensely successful both left leaning men and the most crusty old “chauvinist” can be brought into supporting stuff by such alchemy of “rape culture” etc. Even when the subject matter is remote. Both Mike B. and Mr. P. often appear to find themselves talking on some innocuous topic only to find “rape culture” or “victim blaming” roped in to the conversation.
