  1. From the article;

    “Where genuine issues of vulnerability and homelessness are identified, Norfolk Constabulary continues to work closely with Norwich City Council, St Martin’s Housing Trust and the Salvation Army to signpost those people to receive the right support.”

    End quote.

    Norfolk Constabulary CONTINUES to work closely etc…?
    Oh well, that’s obviously all alright, in order, and clearly a success then eh?

    • I suspect that it may well be a success and that it is your interpretation that is wrong.
      males don’t count for squat. They are probably referring to females. Read it in that light and their response seems legitimate

      • “vulnerability” is the key word here. of course a young man will accrue no “points” or meet no criteria for help. My experience of the Sally Army is they are often the most likely to offer something. I support them. I hope that this story encourages readers to lend support to the charities that help those (mainly men) that fall beyond the state “safety net” . A real result of the “empathy gap”.

  2. It is interesting that the police are willing to enforce the Vagrancy Act of 1824 to harrass homeless men but they are not willing to enforce the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861 to protect male children from unwarranted mutilation and sexual assault.
