Jess Phillips’s remarks about the appointment of Philip Davies to the Women and Equalities Committee

The odious Jess Phillips MP (L, Birmingham Yardley) – a particularly deserving Toxic Feminist of the Month – is a member of the Women and Equalities Committee to which Philip Davies is being appointed. So what did the Yardley Yob have to say about the news? For this we turn to the first article on the matter published by the Guardianhere:

Labour’s outspoken MP renowned for her feminist views, Jess Phillips said: “I’ll not be standing in the way of it. I have every faith that the intelligence and skills of those on the committee will mean he will have little effect, much like in the rest of his career.”

Hardly surprisingly, there are just two men on the 11-member Women and Equalities Committee, the official website of which is here. They are Gavin Shuker (L, Luton South) and the openly gay Ben Howlett (C, Bath). From the same Guardian article:

The Labour Party said that select committees were matters for MPs, while Labour MP, Gavin Shuker, announced the news and then added: “Just let that sink in for a minute.”

If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

  1. Mike: ROTFL @ ‘the Yardley Gob’. Your invention? A tip of the hat to you if so. My chuckle of the day, many thanks.

What a nasty, ill-mannered, immature and spiteful little girl TYG is (she’s foul-mouthed too*). The irony is that she is unlikely to have won her seat had she not been given a place on an all women shortlist. Mr Davies won his candidacy in an open competition in which women were his equals.

Another irony: can anyone seriously believe she has the integrity or courage to stand practically alone in parliament and defy the ruling orthodoxy?

Another irony: Mr Davies has worked in a managerial capacity in the private sector while la Phillips seems only to have worked in, as an employee of her parents’ MHS servicing events management company, or for (Women’s Aid) the gynophile public and third sectors.

Mr Davies’ dignified response to blots on the commons such as TYG shows him to have a level of intelligence and maturity that she can only ever envy. her remarks suggest that she does.

From Wikipaedia: ‘Talking to The Huffington Post UK, Ms Phillips, who despite being elected in May has already earned a reputation for being one of the most outspoken MPs, said: “I roundly told her to fuck off.” When asked what Ms Abbott did after that suggestion, Ms Phillips replied: “She fucked off”.

‘Outspoken’ is putting it mildly; the Yardley Gob is much more descriptive of that odious creature. She’d be anonymous and insignificant were it not for the cancer of party politics.

  2. You hear the term “institutionalized sexism’ thrown out from the feminazis, but what do they think committees like “Women and Equalities Committee” and their equivalent cabals everywhere are all about if it isn’t institutionalized sexism against men. These parasitic quasi-governmental groups need to be abolished.

  3. You wouldn’t know it from his Wikipedia profile but Gavin Shuker worked for and advised Margaret Moran, by far the most corrupt MP in the expenses scandal and equally corrupt in various other aspects of her career too. She was a radfem, constantly bringing up “violence against women” and of course one of the first MPs to be elected via and al women shortlist.

He even now holds the very seat she vacated becasue of her criminal activities.
