Laura Perrins: The feminists who are turning British justice against men
Our thanks to K for this, a Daily Mail article which focuses on the CPS and the odious Alison Saunders.
Not enough hate in the world for New Statesman’s @suzanne_moore
On my ‘to do’ list for tomorrow was a link to an appalling recent piece by Suzanne Moore in New Statesman. Fortunately Paul Elam has spared me the task, and added some insightful commentary on the harridan, here. An extract from her article:
All the man victims, trapped by masculinity. Who could hate them? Their oppression is structural. You can’t hate them individually, can you?
You know what? I can. Please don’t confuse that with bitterness. I am in touch with my emotions enough to know the difference between personal hurt and class hatred.
As a class, I hate men. I’ve changed my mind. I am no longer reasonable. I want to see this class broken.
Phyllis Schlafly: A Woman Worth Studying
We are saddened to learn that Phyllis Schlafly (92) passed away yesterday. A remarkable American conservative, and anti-feminist. Accuracy in Academia have just published this.
Suzanne Venker was Phyllis’s niece. Together they wrote The Flipside of Feminism: What Conservative Women Know – And Men Can’t Say (2011).
William Collins: Letter from an MP
It will take some time to check out all the emails received during our holiday, but an early one was this. As always with Mr Collins’s posts, it’s well worth reading carefully.
Amy Schumer: Anyone who is not a feminist is insane
Our thanks to Jeff for this. Catch the video (1:07) if you can. Ms Schumer is an American feminist ‘comedienne’, currently on tour in the UK. She has been ‘interviewed’ by Emily Maitlis for tonight’s BBC Newsnight. Can’t wait. From the BBC News piece:
“I think anyone who is not a feminist is an insane person. I think they don’t know what feminism means,” she said.
An unfunny feminist ‘comedienne’ touring the UK… as if there aren’t enough British ones, many of them employed by the BBC.
It’s good to be back after a very relaxing holiday, thoroughly rejuvenated. We have some busy months ahead of us.
Onwards and upwards!!!
