This young lady made the first approach and she had aspirations to becoming a WAG. She failed.
The problem is that football pays not terribly bright young men stupendous amounts of money. They attract similarly stupid young women who only have their looks to recommend them, who, perfectly rationally, protect their own financial future by getting pregnant ASAP – it’s a house and 18 years child support. But the men get bored and they are targets for trouble, and if they have money, it finds them very quickly. Early marriage simply does not control young men.
Belinda is right. This young woman’s family are looking at compensation as a substitute for actually hooking this man, and they should have helped her learn and move on rather than involve the law.
