Dame Sally Davies, chief medical officer of England, is a sexist bigot… and why fat women are fat

Our thanks to Stuart for this.

We’ve published pieces on this odious feminist before, but she’s really surpassed herself this time. She’s now in line for a Toxic Feminist of the Month award. Extracts from the article:

Obesity is the biggest threat to women’s health and the health of future generations, warns England’s chief medical officer Dame Sally Davies. Her annual report, which focuses on women this year, said tackling obesity should be a national priority to avert a “growing health catastrophe”.

She said the food industry needed to do more or it should face a sugar tax. Dame Sally is also calling for better treatment of ovarian cancer and more open discussion on incontinence.

England’s top doctor said obesity was so serious it should be a priority for the whole population, but particularly for women because too often it shortened their lives. In England in 2013, 56.4% of women aged 34-44 and 62% of women aged 45-54 were classified as overweight or obese. Obesity increases the risk of many diseases including breast cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease…

Elsewhere in the report, the chief medical officer recommended that:

clinical staff be better trained to recognise and respond to violence against women, including female genital mutilation, domestic abuse and sexual violence

more research is needed to improve maternal and child mental and physical health

more research on screening tests, preeclampsia and foetal growth is also needed

children should receive integrated personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE) with sex and relationships education (SRE) at school

a full range of contraception services should be available to all women, at all reproductive ages

Nowhere in the reported quotes from the woman is there any concern for the health of men, nor a recognition of existing double standards in healthcare provision, nor a recognition that obesity is caused by eating and drinking too much and/or exercising too little… but is it, specifically in the case of women? In Feminism: The Ugly Truth – shortly to be made available as a paperback, in addition to the existing ebook edition – there’s a short chapter titled, Why Are Fat Women Fat?. The mystery solved.

  1. this is a chief medical officer for England? The only people she is concerned about are of the female gender. She is not doing half of her job and must be removed from office immediately.
She has absolutely no business being in the position she is in. Totally unfit for purpose.

  2. In fact in the age ranges quoted in the press men are slightly more overweight or obese. So in terms of health impact weight is a bigger issue for men!! Being fair this was pointed out in the BBC early evening news.
I think J4MB have an obvious challenge to the dame to make the next annual report focus on Men! She can have no excuse now. There are no innate biological reasons for men to have shorter lives than women.
