A new quotation for the J4MB website

For some time we’ve had a Mahatma Gandhi quotation in the top right hand corner of the J4MB website:

First they ignore you, the they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win.

I thought it was time for a new quotation in that spot, and after consulting the best source for this purpose – Buchanan’s Dictionary of Quotations for right-minded people – I settled on one from Victor Hugo:

An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.

The line is contained in Histoire d’un Crime, published in 1877.

  1. Great choice Mike. There are many ideas, ‘up in the air’ at the moment with that potential. You know it’s on when they pullout all the stops. Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, Big Red, Christine Lagarde, all so out of touch with Ideas who’s time has come. Very good. 😉

When I stood for the conservatives almost a decade ago on the promise of family law reform, the local radical feminist MP Kerry McCarthy wheeled out Tony Ben, lol. For the record I have Kerry McCarthy’s official reply, refusing to sign edm128, (a simple proposal to replace the likes of the word contact to parenting time) her reply was dripping with misandry.

I hope you are correct. Guess we will know in another 10 years.

Who can we ‘wheel out’? I suggest we need a team, individuals in the newly networked global AVfM to find high profile advocates, particularly actors. Pierce Brosnan seemed to be on our side at one point and ‘Sir’ Bob Geldof of course. We need someone BIG at the next ICMI that imprints your quotation on the minds of all feminists ‘Justice for Men and Boys, an idea who’s time has come’ … like the biblical writing on the wall and properly rebukes the messages of the likes of poor puppet Emma Watson.

The first ICMI remains a historic document of sorts, a shock super star advocate at the second ICMI would push out that superlative suppressed document.

Best wishes and kind regards to all MHRAs.
