In my book knowingly using old data when there is publicly available much more comprehensive and recent data is lying. Thank you J4MB for calling this and putting the record straight.
“Domestic violence is the result of an abuser’s desire for power and control. Women are considered less important by many in our society and this creates an imbalance of power between the sexes.”
The DV claim above that you rightly raised in the letter, is in my experience, observation, and in effects of the current law and enforcement thereof ridiculous. Apart from maybe leadership roles women are in nearly all aspects place before everyone else, even before children, in our current society, in the media, in the social laws and government spending. This is why males who suffer IPV are laughed at and offered no help by the wider society. The proposed changes for a new DVA law only put more power into women abusers hands that they already hold. The imbalance at present is clearly against men and boys. Feminism completely fails to want to see any male victims, but for one special case where boys are only seen as proxy victims if the father was the main abuser of the mother. Their programs will no doubt teach the boy to suppress his alleged instinct to act like the father, rather than deal with his emotional needs and teach positive relationship skills that both girls and boys need equally. Until IPV is treated as a human problem instead of a woman problem no good will ever be achieved.
Now J4MB is on board and actively outsmarting these feminist weasels the lies WILL be exposed. Brilliantly structured letter. I hope you get a response.
Facts are stubborn things. But expect her to ignore you because MISOGYNY!
