Petition for children and fathers – please sign
A longstanding supporter, Tony, has written to us, asking that we give exposure to a new petition and ask followers of this blog to sign it. We’re delighted to do so. The rest of this blog post was written by Tony:
“This petition for children and fathers was launched by Families Need Fathers Both Parents Matter Cymru.
Starting in Wales …
•Let’s put fathers back into families (item 2)
•Let’s get fatherhood on the political agenda (item 3)
•Let’s put a child’s birthright for an involved Dad above radicalised extremism (Item 5)
It’s every child’s birthright to be involved with his or her father. Let’s highlight the harm that children suffer when a resident parent (typically the mother) cynically sabotages that child’s birthright to have a healthy relationship with the non-resident parent (typically the father). This cynical sabotage is child abuse, and abuse of fathers.
The personal is political – let’s bring the plight of children and fathers into the very centre of the political stage – let’s demand of our politicians that they account to us, their electorate, for the positive actions they are taking for children and their birthright to be involved with their fathers. Let’s put them centre stage.
Please sign this petition now, whoever you are, and wherever you live. Just follow the simple instructions – it will only take seconds!”
Ali Mehraspand: ‘At least 93% of the victims of honour killings in Iran are men’
Whenever there’s mainstream media coverage of honour killings in Muslim countries, the victims portrayed are invariably women. Ali Mehraspand is an Iranian engineer. AVfM has just published his remarkable article about honour killings in Iran. It includes a fascinating account of how Iranian feminists are manipulating statistics to drive their lying narratives.
Janet Bloomfield: ‘Is David Futrelle covering for violent feminists?’
On the front page of this blog we recently added a live link to the last 10 blog posts of American feminist David Futrelle (aka ‘Davey Futile’). This new piece by Janet Bloomfield (‘JudgyBitch’) should help you understand why we took that decision. We want to increase the number of people who read his men-hating pieces, and see them for what they are. We’re thinking of presenting Davey with an award. We can’t make up our minds between giving him a ‘Toady’ award, or starting a new one in his honour, the ‘Poodle’.
Mike Buchanan has applied to go on a UK Feminista course. Wish him luck!
[Note added 21.6.14: This piece has just been published by AVfM.]
UK Feminista is the creation of Kat Banyard, a radical feminist whine merchant and the inaugural winner of our ‘Lying Woman of the Month’ award for an absurd claim she made on Channel 4 News about the frequency with which schoolgirls in the UK suffer sexual harassment. Needless to say, she’s never retracted the claim – lying feminists never retract false claims, even when they’re demonstrably false. Our blog piece on the matter, which contains links to the Channel 4 News piece and Ms Banyard’s award certificate, is here.
We’ve just learned UK Feminista is running free courses in Birmingham, details here. In the introduction they say:
Are you an individual with a vision to organise for gender equality but need confidence to get started? Then UK Feminista’s FAM course is for you!
I’m clearly just the sort of person they’re looking for, so I’ve applied to go on the course. I feel quietly confident I’ll be accepted, given my responses to the questions on the application form:
What campaign or project are you working on or planning to get started?
Justice for men & boys (and the women who love them) http://atomic-temporary-215937230.wpcomstaging.com
Anti-Feminism League http://fightingfeminism.wordpress.com
The Alternative Sexism Project http://thealternativesexismproject.wordpress.com
Campaign for Merit in Business http://c4mb.wordpress.com
Men Shouldn’t Marry http://menshouldntmarry.wordpress.com
Why do you want to take part in this course and what do you hope to gain from it?
I want to learn from the course how I might persuade more men and women to care about men and boys, the way they currently care about women and girls. The impact of sexism on men and boys is appalling, as you know, leading to very poor life outcomes for men and boys compared with outcomes for women and girls – just a few examples below:
– suicide (#1 cause of death of young men) – male/female suicide rate differential has almost doubled in the past 30 years, it’s currently 3.5:1
– denial of paternal access to children
– lack of support for male victims of DV
– education – only 40% of university students are men, while female postgraduate engineering students at Brunel University are being offered additional sponsorships of £20,000+ p.a. on the basis of gender alone
– MGM is commonplace, FGM illegal
– employment (most unemployed people are men)
– political representation (all-women PPC shortlists)
– homelessness (90% men)
– justice system (far harsher towards men than women)
– paternity fraud (commonplace, yet not one British woman has ever been convicted of it)
– threats of legislated gender quotas driving poorly-qualified women onto corporate boards, despite evidence showing one consequence will be declines in corporate financial performance
– resources devoted to male-specific diseases (e.g. prostate cancer) much lower than resources devoted to female-specific diseases (e.g. breast cancer) although almost as many men die from prostate cancer as women die from breast cancer
I look forward to the course.
Where in the UK are you organising for change?
Everywhere.
Are you working on your own on this campaign or with others / as part of a group?
With others (men and women).
Participants are stronly (sic) encouraged to attend all 4 days (both weekends) of the course and carry out an assignment between sessions. Do you expect to be able to participate in the full course?
Yes.
Would you need any financial assistance for childcare costs, other care costs or travel expenses to enable you to attend the course? Please estimate how much this would cost per 8-hour day of training.
Travel expenses at cost, payable in advance. Happy to buy drinks for the ladies on the course, so long as this wouldn’t be construed by them as benevolent sexism. If it would be, then they can buy me drinks, because benevolent sexism is fine with me – it’s the malevolent form I’m not keen on!
We are looking for free/affordable venues to host the course. Please let us know if you have access to a space we could use.
The Sahara desert.

The Daily Mash: ‘World’s Second Greatest Dad mugs this year’s big seller’
A recent gem from an inspired online publication, The Daily Mash. They once published a piece on Harriet Harman MP with a title which remains one of my all-time favourites – click on the second link in this piece which also has links to a number of other Daily Mash pieces. Enjoy.
Sugar Daddy University: New course teaches ‘sugar babies’ how to land a wealthy man
Our thanks to David Hird for pointing us to this piece. He writes:
Created by a MAN (Alan Schneider) who, with ‘professional sugar baby’, Carla Abonia, the course is designed to ‘teach five key elements of being a successful sugar daddy or sugar baby through the curriculum – Sexuality, Understanding, Generosity, Attraction and Reciprocity. They even have plastic surgeons – as well as relationship and financial experts – on hand to advise women how to look better as they or their sugar daddy invest in their appearance.’
Yet another example of women not being allowed to achieve their full potential in engineering, company boards etc.
Damned patriarchy – forcing women to live off other people’s earnings, experience, hard work etc…
SocialistWorker.org: ‘Bigots not welcome in Detroit’
It’s good to know American socialists are on the same intellectual level as British socialists, judging by this piece on SocialistWorker.org about their efforts to persuade the Hilton to cancel the conference at the Doubletree hotel. The number of lies and inaccuracies in the piece almost beggars belief, so let’s try to extract some entertainment value from these hatchet-faced ideologues of both genders. What is it with the rhyming couplets these people always employ? The geniuses came up with the following for their protest:
Bad business Doubletree;
don’t stand with misogyny!
We invite you to suggest appropriate couplets we might use for the conference, if and when we’re confronted with such people. Being of the British persuasion, I’ll offer this polite retort:
Have a nice cup of tea,
when you’re fighting misandry!
‘Taxpayers are sick of people like you’: Judge blasts benefits cheat who claimed she was lone parent to steal £27,000 in handouts… but spares her from prison
Will we never see an end to the constant stream of miscarriages of justice such as this? The judge told her, ‘Taxpayers are sick of people like you’… then spared her a prison sentence, possibly because she has a child, or a ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ card as children are presumably known in certain circles. Do women mysteriously forget they’re mothers when they commit crimes? Of course not. They’re simply playing the system to their advantage, as they know judges will pander to women. Heaven forbid women should be deemed accountable for their actions and inactions, like adults.
The woman is ‘voluntarily’ paying back the £27,000 sum she stole at the rate of £105 per month, so the sum should be repaid in just 21 years at this rate (if it ever is). Her ‘punishment’ is 180 hours’ unpaid community service and £250 towards costs. Outrageous. The woman should now be serving a lengthy prison sentence.
Taxpayers certainly are sick of benefit scroungers like this woman, but they’re also sick of judges like this one.
