Yes it was just one copy of a book, but it was very symbolic of the intolerance of feminists to opposing view-points.
The Nazis were of course famous for their book-burning and among those whose books they burned, was Heinrich Heine who is famous for this prophetic quote:
Dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen.(Where they have burned books, they will end in burning people).
