Maria Miller MP quits
At we predicted he would, David Cameron has allowed Maria Miller to ‘resign’ rather than firing her:
From the article:
Mr Cameron said he was ‘sad’ at the circumstances of her departure and hoped she could make a return ‘in due course’…
In her resignation letter issued by Downing Street at 7.20am, Mrs Miller told David Cameron she was ‘very grateful for his personal support’…
The letter made no mention of her expenses or any regret about the details of the case.
So… which even less competent female MP will he replace her with?

The incompetent and corrupt Maria Miller MP remains in the cabinet for one reason, and one reason only – her gender. So I was delighted to read about this online petition, which has already attracted over 162,000 signatures. I’ve just signed it, and urge you to do likewise:
If she exits the cabinet it will almost certainly be through resigning rather than being fired by Cameron – to fire her would be utterly out of character for him. Cameron will then replace her with an even less competent woman – because if there were a more competent one she’d be in the cabinet already. How can women collectively not be utterly ashamed at Miller’s corrupt behaviour, her lack of co-operation with the official inquiry, her attempted bullying of officials, and her continuing presence in the cabinet? And yet few prominent women – the Daily Mail columnist Amanda Platell being an obvious example – will criticise her publicly.

ANOTHER female teacher given a suspended sentence after admitting having a sexual relationship with a schoolboy, 16
How many more cases like this do we need to see before admitting a serious problem exists, and these teachers need to receive lengthy custodial sentences? It’s inconceivable that if the genders were reversed, a male teacher would have received a suspended sentence. Time for some gender equality.
