We’re planning to issue a press release next Monday, concerning a matter we believe will attract considerable interest. We’re updating our database of media contacts, and so it was that I enquired of The Economist who their political editor is, and for that person’s email address. They informed me that it’s James Astill, and put me through to him. I explained to him who I am, said a few words about J4MB being the only political party in the world fighting for men’s human rights, and could I please have his email address, so I might email him the press release in question?
He asked what the matter was about. I said I couldn’t divulge that information in advance of the press release, but could I please have his email address, to ensure he received it? He responded contemptuously with the following, before hanging up:
To be honest, don’t bother. Thank you.
So much for journalistic curiosity in the mainstream media in 2014. It’s little wonder the press media is in terminal decline. I subscribed to The Economist for 25+ years and still buy it from time to time, but I shall never buy it again. I can always read it in my local library. Why should I contribute even in the smallest way to James Astill’s livelihood? The most I’m willing to do is contribute a new award for his mantelpiece, a well-deserved ‘Toady’:
From last Saturday’s Daily Mail. The story relates to the death of an elderly man in 2008, but it’s only just come to light because of recent revelations by a NHS ‘whistleblower’ who now faces financial ruin.
The full piece:
A frail pensioner died after being removed by security guards at Russells Hall Hospital in a shocking incident hospital bosses allegedly tried to cover up.
Grandfather Mohammed Yasin, 73, had become angry and upset when he was taken to A&E by ambulance after collapsing on a freezing November evening in 2008. The academic, whose family live in India, was taken outside in a wheelchair by guards at 1am and left alone at a bus stop.
Mr Yasin, who lived alone in Lye, West Midlands, was discovered dead just over four hours later by a passerby 50 yards from the hospital. Last night his friends said his death was ‘despicable’ and claim they were asked to keep quiet.
The Dudley Group said Mr Yasin’s friends were visited after his death by then chief executive Paul Farenden and a senior consultant. The trust denied the friends were told not to speak to the press.
At his inquest, registrar Dr David Raven said: ‘I would have assumed a taxi would be called or another method found.’ The coroner recorded an open verdict.
Yet another of those cases where you can’t fail to wonder what sentence would have been handed down if the paedophile were a man rather than a woman, and the victim a young girl. It would certainly been a damned sight longer prison sentence than this:
From the article:
Judge Robert Juckes QC said: ‘I make no secret of the fact your case has given me cause for much consideration. I have come to the conclusion that due to the concern and embarrassment caused to both you and your family that you will not be offending again, let alone committing sexual offences… That does not stop the fact though that you had full sexual intercourse with a child when he was eight to 10 years old – by his evidence it was upwards of fifty times.
Nowhere in the article is there any apparent concern for the boy, no recognition of the possibility of long-term damage to his development, as there certainly would be if the victim had been a young girl. It’s been known for at least 30 years that the majority of convicted (male) rapists were sexually assaulted as children by one or more women, usually their own mothers.
[Note added 24.3.14: A Voice for Men has just published this piece. Please post comments there, rather than here. Thank you.

A moving piece on Channel 4 News this evening, which we’ve captured for our YouTube channel:

Would the authorities ever treat an elderly woman with dementia so heartlessly? The question hardly needs to be asked, the answer’s so obvious. Men are officially treated as sub-human in Britain today – even when they’re not British.
We’ve been very pleasantly surprised by the appreciation our links to some comedy gems have attracted over the last two or three days. Here’s another, from American comedy legend Bill Burr. There are numerous links to this famous clip on YouTube, but this one doesn’t have any added notes on the screen (‘annotations’ in YouTube-speak) from whoever posted it, so enjoy it as it was recorded:

We’ve gone the extra mile to find this particular link, because at J4MB we always go the extra mile for you. But like all political parties, we need financial support. If you can donate anything – anything – to help us seek justice for men and boys (and the women who love them) it will be put to very good use. Nobody connected with the party draws any income from donations, and some of us work very long hours. Donations are a way for you to show you care as much as we do. If donations dry up, we won’t be able to keep fighting. That’s how it works. It’s that simple. Thank you.
A recent video series suggests we should stop applying the word ‘bossy’ to women, because it stops women from achieving. Really? That’s all it takes? Wow. What does that say about women? How did Margaret Thatcher ever become the most impressive peacetime British prime minister of the 20th century, you might reasonably ask. Bane66au has an edit on the video (featuring Beyonce, Sheryl Sandberg, and other women) which its creators might find helpful. Invest two minutes in watching this gem:

An excellent piece by Jim Byset:

We’re indebted to many contributors for links to articles, videos etc. Sometimes they send us emails which are themselves worthy of publication. An example – one of our most regular contributors – is ‘M’, a gentleman who lives in Eastern Europe. He’s just sent the following:
“Mike, as I’ve been reading various articles and scientific publications, I can’t help but laugh at how we must now ‘prove’ even the most basic and obvious facts of life, after three decades of runaway feminism.
We must prove that stay-at-home mothers are better for the children and society… we must prove that boys need more physical activity-centred education methods… we must prove that female infantry divisions are not in the best interests of the military, or the women themselves… we must prove that excessive numbers of female doctors are a burden on the entire system… we must prove that children need fathers too…. we must prove that men deserve rights too… we must prove that men are better at science and maths… we must prove that women don’t always speak the truth… we must prove that lowering standards in the public and private sectors in order to accommodate women is not in the best interest of public life or economic performance… we must prove that male behaviour is not inherently evil… we must prove that men are more suitable to difficult and physically demanding employment types… we must prove that gender quotas are harming business… we must prove that freshly-cooked food is healthier than TV dinners and fast-food… we must prove that breast-feeding is better for infants… we must prove that budget money is best used on people in need in our own countries… we must prove that boys like muscled, tall, battle-hardened soldier toys… we must prove that girls like attractive dolls… we must prove that Ritalin is not in the best interests of our schoolboys…
In other words, we now must ‘prove’ just about every normally accepted aspect of life, private or public… so twisted has the feminist propaganda become!
Regards… “
My thanks to the people who took the trouble to email me to say they’d enjoyed last night’s post, ‘Bill Maher vs Feminism’. A supporter just emailed me a link to a piece by another American comedy genius, Bill Burr. I must have seen this clip (about 7 minutes long) at least five times before, but it still made me cry laughing. It’s a gem and it’s been viewed by almost a million people. Many (normal) people ‘upvoted’ it, while a few (whiny and dysfunctional) people ‘downvoted’ it. Hopefully, as a visitor to this website, you’re in the former camp. Enjoy, and good night:
