Lloyds Bank to give itself the right to remove husbands from joint accounts with their wives

Our thanks to Colin for this. An extract:

To coincide with the launch of the telephone service, Lloyds is also changing its account terms and conditions to allow a party to be removed from a joint account where one of the account holders has been the victim of financial abuse.

We all know which “party” will be removed from accounts, don’t we? And we can be sure that the mere allegation of financial abuse will be enough to render men guilty of it, in the eyes of Lloyds’ team, presumably dominated by hatchet-faced feminists. Colin writes:

Surely a wife having the right to remove her husband from a joint account has got to be illegal. Lloyds Bank will now give itself the right to do this. This is for a judge to decide, not Women’s Aid or Lloyds. This is entirely hypocritical as it will deny the husband access to his money, which is iteself financial abuse, especially if he needs it to pay divorce solicitor fees.

Yet another weapon women will use in acrimonious divorces. All men should close their Lloyds accounts. All young men should just quit the country.
