Mark Summers QC wins case against the Chief Constable of Surrey Police for unlawful arrest

Len writes:

Mark Summers QC won a relatively recent case of unlawful arrest this year. A mother and father in Guildford, Surrey, had been separated for seven years. The father had custody of their child, with the mother visiting at weekends. The mother made a false allegation against the father, claiming he ‘regularly raped and sexually assaulted her during the currency of their relationship’. The police then arrested the man and put bail conditions on him. The High Court ruled the arrest was unlawful. This is a key win for the defence of men’s rights.

  1. It is indeed a “key win for the defence of men’s rights”.
But will it get used as a legal precedence as it should?

    I have my doubts..
