Our thanks to Mike P for this piece on the BBC website. The start:
The BBC is to teach its senior staff to be in touch with the younger generation by giving them their own young mentors to advise them.
The broadcaster hopes its “reverse mentoring” scheme, which launches next month, will stem the tide of young audiences losing interest in the BBC’s output.
Two consequences are inevitable. BBC content will be dumbed down even more, and given how many young people support and voted for Comrade Corbyn three months ago, the BBC will become yet more left-wing in its output. In the meantime, I’ll be applying to be a “reverse mentor” for BBC presenter Fiona Bruce. Failing that, Lucy Worsley.
