Natalie Jeffers, feminist, a key leader of Black Live Matter UK, is funded by taxpayers

The start of an article in today’s Sunday Times, by Andrew Gilligan:

A key leader of Black Lives Matter UK, the group that closed London City airport for six hours last week, is funded by taxpayers out of the UK foreign aid budget.

The Department for International Development (FfID) admitted last night that at least £50,000 of public money has been paid to Matters of the Earth, whose sole director and shareholder is Natalie Jeffers, described by Black Lives Matter UK as “co-founder” and “organiser” of the group.

Jeffers, from Brighton, East Sussex, could not attend the protest by Black Lives Matter against ‘racist’ climate change and air travel last week because she was flying to an international feminist conference at a luxury beach resort in Brazil. [My emphasis]

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.
