Should religious circumcision be banned?

My thanks to Patrick for pointing me to an interesting piece in the Telegraph today. Unfortunately there’s far too much material from Dr Simon Hochhauser of Milah UK, but the rest of the content is well worth reading. Be sure to cast your vote on the important question at the end.

On 29 January Dr H and I sparred on Jonathan Vernon-Smith’s show on BBC 3 Counties Radio, the file is in our Vimeo MGM library, here (41:03), along with the resulting call-in session. This morning we were both on the programme again, JVS interviewed us in succession this time, and afterwards the callers were almost all supportive of our position on MGM. That file should be on our YouTube and Vimeo channels within the next 24 hours.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • The poll is hovering between 83-84% against MGM.

  • Yes, it should be banned unless the male is over 18 and desires to have it done. But it should NEVER be done to someone too young to consent.
