Prison sentences for revenge porn vary, depending on your genitals. Five months if you have a penis, no sentence if you have a vagina.

Someone has just left the following comment in response to our piece about a lesbian being spared a prison sentence for revenge porn:

Mike, something that this article left me wondering is what is the average sentence that the twelve men so far convicted of this crime have received. Without that information, it’s impossible to tell if this sentence was light or par for the crime.

Fair point. A few seconds of internet searching led to a story of a man convicted for revenge porn – here. He was given a prison sentence of five months.

This is, of course, merely one symptom of a broader problem with the criminal injustice system. William Collins explained in this piece that if men were sentenced as leniently as women by the courts, five out of six men in prisons in the UK wouldn’t be there. Gender equality would provide a rapid solution to the prison overcrowding crisis, as the male prisoner population would fall from about 80,000 to around 13,000. We recently raised this matter with Michael Gove, Justice Secretary, with predictable results – here.

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • this is a clear indication that our society places greater value on women than they deserve and than is rational..

The double standard goes deeper still. In cases where a naked picture of a female is made public, the person spreading the picture around is held to have committed an offence (in this case another female, but often a male). This is the offence of “disclosing private sexual photographs with the intent to cause distress” (revenge porn). But if a male sends a female a naked picture of himself, and she shares it around – it is the male who is held to have committed an offence – this time of “making and distributing an indecent image” (sexting) – there was a case this morning:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/boy-14-added-police-database-6372400. Furthermore, my understanding is that if a girl sexts a boy, and the image remains on his mobile, then the boy may be held to have committed the offence of ‘possessing an indecent image of a minor’. Spot the common denominator in the manner in which all three offences are applied in practice.

    • The double standards are insane. Why are boys and men made out to be villains, yet women are always seen as victims?

      • Because gynocentrism and its natural and evil offspring, feminism.

  • the feminists devised a penal code under which virtually all offences are perpetrated by males. Young or old. if women act in exactly the same way, they are always victims.. it is laughable that men should go on pretending that all is well. If anything, judging by the laws they lobbied for, feminists (women) have demonstrated that they are unfit to govern in a democratic society.

  • Yes, I have been following this too, with deep disgust and not a small degree of apprehension. Apparently the lad had done this from the privacy of his own room one evening, yet was interviewed at school, who called in the police even though they had discretion about that, and he was interviewed in the presence of a female police officer without either of his parents or a responsible adult being there on his side. The pretence given was that he had ‘previous’ this behaviour, which amounted to him having received a ‘sext’ sent by someone else. Apparently, this female police officer had been cold and authoritative towards the mother when she informed her that the police now had ‘intelligence’ on the boy and that it would likely show up in a future enhanced CRB check. She said judgementally that children needed to know this was wrong. This was followed by a woman assistant Chief Constable who poo pooed it, saying it most probably wouldn’t be disclosed. However it is still there on the record.

On a comment stream recently, I read an aside from a contributor that after every revolution comes a period of terror, and on another, even more recently, the term ‘feminist inquisition’. Can there be any doubt that we are in the middle of these terrors now? No male of any age is safe, frankly. This really is getting out of hand.

  • I never expected anything less from judges. It’s important to understand that revenge porn is just the act of a person deeply stuck in a gynocentric belief system. The act of taking revenge porn means you care… that much and her absence from your life means that you lost your identity. It’s a moronic move of course and one that should be avoided.

However when criminal proceedings take place, it should be unconstitutional to discriminate on decisions on the basis of gender. i am wondering if there is any way that courts and judges who repeatedly take such decisions, can actually be sued and taken to court for issues of gender discrimination.

    Just some thoughts.

As Messenger Rising would say, stay sane, stay MGTOW.

  • Tell me what I can do to help. It will be done.
    I’m serious.
