mra-uk: ‘Suicide in the UK’

Another impressive piece by William Collins, the author of our recent report submitted to the Home Office consultation on strengthening the law on domestic abuse – Herbert Purdy’s improved version of which is here.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • This indeed both a tragedy and indeed a troubling lack of concern or action with regard to males. Myself I put it down to a general lack of concern about male distress in our society. From a point of view of actual impact on health it would indeed be the highest priority to at least understand more about men and suicide. It is imperative that the UK adopts a men’s health strategy to address issues such as Suicide . Acute Mental Distress and Cancer where men are so clearly not supported by effective services.
